The process of using Heycarbons coconut shell activated carbon and Jinchan mineral separation agent for gold extraction is as follows:
Leaching
- Crush and grind the ore to an appropriate particle size (such as 200 mesh).
- Add Jinchan gold dressing agent to contact the ore to dissolve the gold into a gold-cyanide complex.
Adsorption
- Add coconut shell activated carbon to the adsorption tank to adsorb the solution Au(CN)2–.
- Through stirring or flow process, the solution is fully contacted with the activated carbon.
Elution & Electrowinning
- Elute the gold on the activated carbon with hot alkaline solution (NaOH+NaCN).
- Deposit gold on the cathode through the electrolytic cell.
Regeneration
- Regenerate the activated carbon using high temperature calcination or chemical methods for reuse.
