Activated Carbon Adsorption System Maintenance Guide-Heycarbons

Activated Carbon Adsorption System Maintenance

Activated Carbon Adsorption System Daily inspection

1. Appearance inspection: Check the appearance of the equipment for damage, corrosion, leakage, etc. every day, especially the connection parts and pipe interfaces of the equipment to ensure good sealing.

2. Operation parameter inspection: Pay close attention to the operating parameters of the equipment, such as adsorption temperature, pressure, flow, etc., to ensure that these parameters are within the design operating range of the equipment.

3. Instrument inspection: Check whether various instruments (such as pressure gauges, thermometers, flow meters, etc.) are working properly and whether the displayed data is accurate.

Activated Carbon Adsorption System Regular maintenance

1. Cleaning equipment: Regularly clean the dust and dirt inside and outside the equipment to prevent accumulation and affect the performance of the equipment. For internal structures such as adsorption beds, compressed air or vacuum cleaners can be used for cleaning.

2. Check the activated carbon layer: Open the equipment at regular intervals (such as 1-2 months) to check the status of the activated carbon layer to see if there is any agglomeration or breakage.

3. Maintain the ventilation system: The ventilation system is an important part of ensuring the normal operation of the activated carbon adsorption equipment. Regularly clean the dust in the ventilation duct, check the operation of the fan, and ensure smooth ventilation.

4. Electrical system maintenance: Professional electricians regularly check the electrical system of the equipment, including wires, cables, control cabinets, etc., to ensure that the electrical connections are firm and there are no safety hazards such as leakage and short circuit.

Activated Carbon Adsorption System Fault repair

1. Deal with faults in a timely manner: Once a fault is found in the equipment, such as decreased adsorption efficiency, damage to equipment components, etc., the equipment should be stopped immediately for inspection, the cause of the fault should be analyzed, and the damaged parts should be repaired or replaced in a timely manner.

2. Record fault information: Record the time, phenomenon, cause and repair measures of each fault in detail to provide reference for subsequent maintenance and equipment improvement.

Activated Carbon Replacement in Activated Carbon Adsorption System

Replacement timing judgment

1. Adsorption effect monitoring: The adsorption effect of activated carbon is determined by detecting the concentration of pollutants in the gas or liquid after adsorption. When the concentration of pollutants after adsorption increases significantly and approaches or exceeds the emission standard, it means that the adsorption capacity of activated carbon is close to saturation and needs to be replaced.

2. Running time judgment: The service life of activated carbon is estimated based on the operating time and processing volume of the equipment. Generally speaking, under normal operating conditions, the service life of activated carbon is 6-12 months, but the specific service life needs to be determined based on factors such as the type and concentration of pollutants actually treated.

3. Activated carbon appearance inspection: Open the equipment to observe the appearance of the activated carbon. If the color of the activated carbon is significantly darker, there is a lot of dirt attached to the surface, or there is agglomeration, powderization, etc., the activated carbon should also be considered for replacement.

Replacement steps

1. Preparation: Prepare the required tools and new activated carbon in advance, and ensure that the model and specifications of the new activated carbon are consistent with the original activated carbon. At the same time, prepare protective equipment such as gloves, masks, goggles, etc. to prevent contact with harmful substances during the replacement process.

2. Shutdown and emptying: Close the inlet and outlet valves of the activated carbon adsorption equipment, stop the equipment, and empty the gas or liquid in the equipment to ensure that the pressure in the equipment is zero and the temperature drops to room temperature.

3. Remove the old activated carbon: Open the activated carbon replacement port or maintenance door of the equipment, and use special tools to remove the old activated carbon from the adsorption bed or adsorption tank. During the removal process, pay attention to avoid the flying of activated carbon dust, and try to clean up all the old activated carbon, including the corners and gaps of the adsorption bed.

4. Clean the inside of the equipment: After the old activated carbon is removed, thoroughly clean the inside of the equipment to remove residual activated carbon particles, dust and dirt, etc.

5. Loading new activated carbon: Load the new activated carbon evenly into the adsorption bed or adsorption tank. Pay attention to the filling density to avoid agglomeration or excessive gaps. During the filling process, the equipment can be vibrated appropriately to make the activated carbon filling more compact.

6. Inspection and sealing: After the filling is completed, check whether there are foreign objects inside the equipment. After confirming that there is no problem, close the replacement port or maintenance door, and seal it to ensure that the equipment is leak-free.

7. Debugging and operation: Start the equipment, gradually adjust the operating parameters to normal state, observe the operation of the equipment and the adsorption effect, and ensure that the new activated carbon can work normally.

Precautions

1. Safety protection: During the maintenance and replacement of activated carbon, you must strictly abide by the safety operating procedures and wear protective equipment.

2. Activated carbon storage: Unused activated carbon should be stored in a dry, well-ventilated place to avoid moisture and contact with harmful substances that affect its adsorption performance.

3. Environmental protection treatment: The replaced old activated carbon is a hazardous waste and should be properly handled in accordance with environmental protection requirements and must not be discarded at will.
